ABOUT US

Competence, compassion, and courtesy are the hallmarks upon which Magee General Hospital was founded over 70 years ago. As a vital part of our community, we are committed to providing the most comprehensive medical care possible--from prenatal through elder care services.

We are now in our second century of treating families, friends and neighbors with the widest range of services in the area. We offer state-of-the-art technology, while respecting the individual dignity of each person. Our dedication to caring means we will continue to serve the healthcare needs of you and your family with advanced medical care and personalized service.

The cafeteria at MGH provides a warm and inviting atmosphere with carefully prepared, well-balanced and healthy options for dining. A variety of beverages, hot meals, and snacks are available.
Smoking
We seek to encourage good health concepts and provide a smoke-free and tobacco-free, safe and comfortable environment for patients, visitors, staff and the community. Smoking and tobacco use is not permitted inside or outside the building. This includes the areas outside of the medical center and clinic buildings.

Giving to MGH
Thanks to our Health Trust we can reach out to families, friends and neighbors with caring and innovative health services. At MGH, it is part of our tradition to serve all people who come to us for care with competence, compassion and courtesy. In addition, our goal is to continually upgrade the services, facilities and equipment to provide for future generations of care.
We welcome your tax-deductible monetary gifts. If you would like more information about how you can
• memorialize a loved one,
• designate funds to the MGH program of your choice,
• join an annual giving society,
• remember MGH in your will,
We invite you to call the Health Trust office at (601) 849-7391. All of your gifts will be used locally. Thank you for touching the lives of so many others in need.

VOLUNTEERING

Many times, the first person a patient sees when entering our hospitals, and the last person to say good-bye, is one of our hospital volunteers. MGH is fortunate to have an active, enthusiastic group of men and women who contribute to the smooth operation of our hospital on a daily basis.

Volunteers generously donate hours of their time and of their talents to provide valuable services to our patients, their family members, and our staff and physicians by assisting with patient transportation, mail and refreshment delivery, and general office duties.

To find out more about the many benefits of volunteering, please contact us at (601) 849-5070.
